Classic
The Baroque Dětenice Castle offers 14 fully furnished rooms and a secco and a fresco wall paintings, Baroque and Rococo stuccos. The château interior is based on materials found in archives mainly from the 18th century and presents to the visitors the taste and style of living of the gentry at a typical landed estate.
The entrance hall houses a unique collections of weapons of the Knights of Malta including approx. 350 pieces of weaponry dating from the Thirty Years‘ War featuring unique ship canons from the momentous battle of the island of Rhodes of 1522. The château also houses a large collection of hunting trophies. After the tour, you can have a stroll in the château park where you can find dendrologically interesting and old tree species.

Spooky Saturdays
All year round, every Saturday between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. you can take part in an untraditional tour of the château chambers accompanied by a witch.
During the tour you will encounter real ghosts, a cadaver or a vampire and other supernatural beings. Experience moments of fear, excitement as well as laugh.
This all-year-round Saturday programme is suitable for all children but we believe that adult visitors will enjoy it, too.
Sleeping Beauty
Starting from the first October Sunday, Dětenice Castle gives a performance of the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty every hour. You can experience the romantic story of the royal family, which you certainly know very well, in the château chambers A story of love, beauty, courage and punished evil.
The untraditional interpretation of the fairy tale „Sleeping Beauty“ will liven up your Sunday between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. while the last tour with the Sleeping Beauty takes place at 3 p.m.
